Art Historian / Director of the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza
Dr. Casali obtained her degree in the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage and specialized in the history of contemporary art and aesthetic at the University of Udine, where she achieved the Doctorate (PhD) in aesthetic field, contemporary art and art critique. In 1997 she started a collaboration as art historian and critic with the Modern Art Gallery in Verona, the GAM in Bologna (the contemporary MAMBO), the MAR in Ravenna and since 2011 she has been managing the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza.
She has collaborated with several international museums, taking part in art competitions and commissions for the selection of prizes, in particular in the ceramic field, such as Keskemet (Hungary), the Westerwald Prize (Germany), the Danish Prize (Denmark) and the Gmunden Symposium (Austria). She was invited to propose an expositive project to the Art Ceramic Biennial in Taiwan.
She often serves as a lecturer at international symposiums and she has curated books devoted to contemporary art and ceramic art and she constantly follows with particular care the evolution of the contemporary language of ceramic art, promoting new talented artists who work in the sculptural field and create ceramic installations.
She collaborates with art reviews and in general with the means of communication focused on art, she teaches the history of art, the history of ceramic art and museum disciplines for post-graduate training courses.
