These pure white, square plates, void of any embellishment, could be described as the perfection of a simple-modern style.
One can read the intentions of the artist when the eyes find the dimple created by a simple line in the plate.
This dimple at times creates a slight shadow at the top of the plate, at times creates a place for sauce to adorn a gourmet dish.
This new type of plate offers the flexibility for both Japanese and Western use, yet I feel the manner in which the line is drawn adds an extra twist, further broadening the possibilities of the object.
Certainly these plates will tickle the creative fancy of the user.
