An object created from a unique combination of materials – the upper section consisting of fabric and the lower section formed from clay. Both are dipped simultaneously in ceramic slurry, forming a thing coating on the outer surface.
I've never found so much humor in an abstract structure. Perhaps it's because I am Japanese … the shape reminded me of an octopus in a rather modified form. With nodisrespect to the artist intended, I feel a subtitle for the work could be “The Octopus Dance.”
