Sone Jisoen Pottery is a ceramics manufacturer founded in 1861 in Mashizume, Sue-cho, Mizunami City. From the Taisho era to the early Showa era, the company mined raw materials and also manufactured tiles, leading the Mino ceramic industry, and after the World War II, it grew to become one of Japan’s leading Western tableware manufacturers. We will exhibit Western tableware and other items produced by Sone Jisoen Pottery from the Meiji to Heisei era, and publish a catalog of the exhibited items and company history.
